We all work hard to provide the best opportunities for our children, ensuring they grow into well-rounded individuals. That means school is just one part of their development. Extracurricular activities, sports, and enrichment programs all play a vital role—but finding the time and energy to manage it all? That’s a different challenge altogether. Let’s face it—being a parent is a full-time job on top of everything else.
We, the co-founders of LynkWyze, are parents just like you. We have kids between 8 and 15 years old, and we’ve all experienced the constant juggle of work, family responsibilities, and endless pick-ups and drop-offs. Each week, we found ourselves spending 8-10 hours per child just driving them to activities.
What did that mean for us?
🚗 Working from parking lots while waiting for practice to end.
⏳ Skipping activities we wanted for our kids because we simply couldn’t make it work.
🍽️ Grabbing unhealthy takeout because there wasn’t time to cook.
😓 Feeling exhausted, overworked, and stretched too thin.
⏳ Attending that all important office call from the car while our kids are in the back of the car.
And when we asked around, we realized—we weren’t alone.
One of our co-founders, a father of two daughters (ages 10 and 5), tracked his weekly time spent driving just for his older daughter’s activities. The results were staggering. That’s over 14 hours a week for just one child!
Imagine adding another child’s schedule to this—where does that leave time for work, self-care, or family bonding?
As he put it: "If I could just reduce this time commitment, I could finally sign up for those squash classes I’ve been putting off… and enroll my younger daughter in an activity she loves!"
This was the breaking point—we needed a better way.
